Free Traffic For Your Website

Now that you’ve built your website and added some quality content pages, you’re ready to start making money—right? In order to make money from your website though, you have to have traffic.

There are quite a number of methods you can use to start a flow of traffic to your website. If you are a new business, you probably don’t have a lot of money to spend. So instead of using pay-per-click, or other type of paying traffic methods, I’m going to show you some easy ways to get free traffic to your website.

Online Networking

Forums and other online communities are a great way to get the word out about your website. A quick search on Google should give you quite a few forums within your niche. Register at a few of these and become an involved member. You can talk about things relevant to your niche, offering advice or help to others, and build name recognition for yourself. Just remember to only speak when you have something important to say. Don’t just sign up and spam the forums.

Newsletters

Newsletters are another great way to get the word out about your website. Start your own free newsletter and build a list of people who are interested in your niche to sell to. You can also write articles and send them to other newsletter owners to use for free in their newsletters, provided they keep your resource box at the end of your article in tact.

Link Swaps

Exchanging links is another free traffic method many website owners use. Just do a quick search to find similar websites within your niche. Email the owners and ask if they would like to swap links with you. It’s a win-win situation for both parties involved, as this helps to build your page ranking with search engines as well.

Article Marketing

As with newsletters, you can write and submit articles to article directories to get free targeted traffic to your website. Write articles that contain solid information, and then include a link to your website at the end of the article in your resource box. In addition to article directories, you will often find website owners who would love to reprint your article on their website or in their newsletter, too.

These are just a few of the free methods you can use to start pulling in website traffic for free. Make a plan for yourself and start using some of these methods for almost instant results.
