One of the objectives of copywriting is to get the prospect to buy now. Not tomorrow, not next week, not next year, but now. We would still make money if they were to buy later, but if they don’t go ahead and make the purchase, there’s a good chance that they never will.

This creates a conundrum for some copywriters. They realize the importance of making the sale right away, but they are concerned about being too pushy. They don’t want to scare buyers off with a hard sell. So they just point out the benefits of their product and hope for the best. Unfortunately for them, that rarely works.
