Achieving Success!

Success, a much talked about word, and an even more sought after state, doesn’t come to all. It eludes some, while others seem to easily attract it.

Why is that so? Well, for starters all successful people have an extremely clear idea of what they want to achieve and what being successful means to them. For many, success is not an end in itself, but a byproduct of doing what they enjoy and are good at.

So, logically speaking, your first step to achieving success is to identify what it means to you. Is it being happy and loving what you’re doing in life? Figure out what gives meaning to your life, the things that drive you most, and therein, lies your success. Know yourself. Know what you want to stand for and live for. In other words, what do you want to be remembered for when you’re gone…

For some, success is having no regrets or grudges when they come towards the end of their lives. For others, it’s the satisfaction of having made a difference to one person or an entire population. As you can see, success means different things to different people. But it does beg the question – Does success lead to happiness or does being happy mean you’re successful? To each their own, but one can’t help but suspect that for most people happiness equals success, not the other way round. I mean, how many unhappy people have made a success of themselves?!

So, be happy in order to be successful and define what exactly it means to you…
